Warwickshire Open Studios 2026

Painting for Pleasure is delighted to be taking part in Warwickshire Open Studios for the first time this year, thanks to support from the Coventry Building Society Small Fund.

The funding has enabled us to develop new creative opportunities for our members, including a cyanotype workshop and participation in this year's Open Studios event.

Our exhibition theme is Floral, featuring a collection of paintings alongside cyanotypes, an early photographic printing process that uses sunlight to create distinctive blue-toned images.

You can find us at Venue No. 20 on the Leamington Trail:

The Gallery at the Dentists
20 Leicester Street
Leamington Spa
CV32 4TD

The venue is located opposite St Paul's Church. Please note that there are steps up to the exhibition space. We are exhibiting in the reception and hallway areas.

Exhibition dates: 22 June – 3 July 2026

Opening times:
9.00am – 1.00pm
2.00pm – 5.00pm

Closed Saturdays and Sundays

We are grateful to the Coventry Building Society Small Fund for making this opportunity possible and helping us continue our mission of making art accessible, enjoyable, and inspiring for everyone involved.

We hope you will visit and enjoy the work created by our members, and discover more about Painting for Pleasure and the activities we offer throughout the year.

Painting for Pleasure exhibits as part of Warwickshire Open Studios

Thanks to funding from the Coventry Building Society Small Fund, Painting for Pleasure is excited to take part in Warwickshire Open Studios for the very first time.

Our exhibition theme is Floral, featuring a colourful collection of paintings alongside cyanotypes — one of the earliest photographic printing techniques, which uses sunshine to develop striking blue-toned images.

We will be exhibiting at The Gallery at the Dentists as part of the Leamington Trail. The venue is located opposite St Paul's Church.

Painting for Pleasure Art Exhibition at Coffee Break

Dates: Thursday 27th and Friday 28th June
Location: Coffee Break, 12 Royal Priors, Upper Mall, Leamington Spa, CV32 4XT

Join us for a captivating display of creativity at the Painting for Pleasure art exhibition, hosted at Coffee Break in the Royal Priors on the 27th and 28th of June. This special event showcases the artistic talents of members from the Painting for Pleasure charity, a dedicated group in Leamington Spa that provides a creative outlet for disabled individuals, those living with or recovering from illness, and carers seeking respite and connection.

The exhibition will feature an array of artworks, including drawings, paintings, and beautiful silk paintings. These pieces are not only a testament to the artistic skills of the group members but also reflect their personal journeys and the therapeutic benefits of creative expression. Many of the works are inspired by a recent visit to the Makers through the Ages exhibition at Compton Verney.

Painting for Pleasure is more than just an art group; it is a supportive community that combats isolation and fosters well-being through art. This exhibition is a celebration of their collective efforts and the joy that comes from creating and sharing art.

We invite you to come and experience this inspiring collection, support the artists, and learn more about the valuable work of Painting for Pleasure. Your presence and encouragement mean a lot to the artists and contribute to the vibrant community spirit of Leamington Spa.

Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

Painting for Pleasure meets on a Wednesday during school term time at the Westbury Centre. Sessions are 9.30 to 12 noon and 1pm to 3.30pm. New members welcome. Phone 07767015428 for more details.

Christmas Tree Festival

We enjoyed painting miniature canvases , easels, baubles, and angels for our Christmas Tree as part of the Christmas Tree Festival, held in All Saints Parish Church, Leamington Spa.

We donated the decorated tree at the end of the festival to the charity Helping Hands, who gave it to someone in need this Christmas.
